Shirley Leeper Aglio
Shirley M. Leeper Aglio, 75, of California, Pa., died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 3, 2002. She was born March 19, 1927, in Fredericktown, Pa., daughter of Joseph Leeper and Blanche Pichard Leeper.
Shirley was an active member of California United Methodist Church, a devoted wife and mother, and a loving grandmother to her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She loved bowling and gardening.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 54 years: Louis Aglio; son, David Aglio of Belle Vernon, Pa.; sons and daughters-in-law: Bruce and Mary Aglio of Kernersville, North Carolina, and Christopher and Donna Aglio of Middletown, Rhode Island; sisters: Grace McGurk of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Blanche Carson of Herminie, Pa.; brothers: William “Bud” Leeper of Centerville, Pa., and Merland Leeper of Laurel, Maryland; five grandchildren: Gina Stout, David R. Aglio, Jennifer Aglio, Krista Aglio, and Brandon Aglio; and two great grandsons: Darren Stout and Dylan Stout.
Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held in United Methodist Church California, Pa., on Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Lindberg officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
