Clarence Herring
Clarence W. Herring, 84, of Hopwood, Pa., died Saturday, April 6, 2002 at his home. He was born October 13, 1917 at East Millsboro, Pa., son of the late Asa and Ida Belle Dennis Herring.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Rosenberger Herring in 1992.
Surviving are his daughter, Catherine I. Anderson and husband Kenneth of New Salem. Eight grandchildren: Greg, Gerald, Denise, Beth, Todd, Troy, Amy and Jason. One brother and two sisters Donald Herring of Arizona, Arlene Howard of New Salem, Pa., Wanda Michael of Ohio.
Clarence was the Owner of Herring’s Restaurant in Hopwood for 40 years and was a retired coal miner with 28 years of service.
He was a member of Brownsville Masonic Lodge #60.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday until 11 a.m. the hour of the service with Rev. Paul Hazelton officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
