Redstone supervisors approve licenses, bid
REDSTONE – The Redstone Township supervisors Wednesday approved two mercantile licenses and awarded the bid for this year’s paving project. Both mercantile licenses were for restaurants in the township. Ronette Legrain of Brownsville was granted a permit to operate LaCigale Provincial Caf? on Route 40 near Colonial School. Douglas Black of Perryopolis was granted a permit to operate Little Geno’s Pizza, Subs and More at 143 Republic Rd., the former site of Brittany’s Lounge.
Three bids were received for paving materials. The contract was awarded to A.C. Moyer of Lemont Furnace, which submitted the low bid of $69,483.25. The other bids came from Pompei and Sons Inc. of Bentleyville, with a bid of $78,236.75, and El Grande Industries Inc. of Monessen with a bid of $84,311.25.
Code enforcement officer Robert Stogran reported that the Fayette SPCA received 11 calls from Redstone Township in March, picking up nine dogs and three cats, while patrolling 20 hours.
Stogran said he issued 10 citations for the month, two for unsafe structures, five for junk vehicles, one for a dog running loose, one for garbage or debris and one for high grass or weeds.
The supervisors recognized several families and the First Christian Church of Allison for adopting Twin Hills Road for clean up. The road was adopted by the Novak, Harvey and Maletta families.
