Sue T. Wyatt Wilhelm, Heaven is an even brighter place today, because a beautiful woman died Thursday, April 11, 2002. She was the best of the best as a wife, mother, mother-in-law and most of all grandmother. She was a woman but five feet tall but with a heart and soul of a giant. Her love of gardening, history, baseball and family were the essential parts of her life that she cherished. Her vast knowledge of life and the world was her greatest gift to all who met her. Although we will miss her deeply, we are thankful that were able to express to her how much she was loved an appreciated. Her gentle spirit will live forever.
Sue was born July 25, 1922, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Allen (Bun) Wyatt and Bertha Ankin Wyatt. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two half brothers James Wyatt and Allen “Bunny” Wyatt.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years Frank Wilhelm and six children, Dr. Michael Wilhelm of Uniontown, Mary Lou Gordon and husband William of Chalk Hill, Dr. George Wilhem and wife Jackie of Hopwood, Leo E. Wilhem and wife Claudia of Rubles Mill, Rebecca A. McGarvey and husband Robert of Chalk Hill, Paul B. Wilhelm and wife Kelley of Uniontown; five grandchildren, William Gregg Gordon III, James Ashton, Frank Wyatt Wilhelm, Lauren Kathleen Wilhelm and Aaron Leonard Wilhelm; a half sister Nan Pasek and husband Al; a half brother Bruce Wyatt.
Sue was a graduate of Uniontown High School and attended Maryland College for Women. During W.W. II she had been employed at the Pentagon.
All services will be private at her request and Memorials may be made to the Pennsylvania Room of the Uniontown Public Library.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD C. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington, Pa.
