Lois Ann Grishkin
Lois Ann Mesaros Grishkin, 54, of Augusta, Georgia, and Knoxville, Tennessee, and a former resident of Grindstone, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in Fort Sanders Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Agnes Seginack Mesaros of Grindstone, Pa., and the late Andrew Mesaros.
Lois was a 1968 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania, had been an Elementary School Teacher in both Brownsville, Pa., and Hershey, Pa., and received a Masters Degree from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
She loved cooking, art, music, and surfing the Internet.
Lois was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Friend to all!
Besides her mother she is survived by her husband Brent Grishkin; three children: Jennifer of Arlington, Virginia, Jonathan of Augusta, Georgia, and Justin of Eugene, Oregon; a brother Andrew Mesaros Jr. of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and a sister Elaine Mesaros Schenck of Saline, Michigan.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. where Prayers of Transfer will be said Monday, April 15, at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, Grindstone, Pa., with Rev. Fr. John A. Sedlak as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
Catholic Daughters of America will recite the Rosary today at 3 p.m.
Rosary Confraternity of the Partner Parishes will recite the Rosary today at 7:30 p.m.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and a Parish Wake Service was held at 8:30 p.m.
