Sue T. Wyatt Wilhelm
Heaven is an ever-brighter place today because a Beautiful Woman died Thursday, April 11, 2002. She was the best of the best as a Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, and, most of all, Grandmother!
She was a woman but five feet tall but with a heart and soul of a giant.
Her love of gardening, history, baseball, and family were the essential parts of her life that she cherished. Her vast knowledge of life and the world was her greatest gift to all who met her.
Although we will miss her deeply, we are thankful that we were able to express to her how much she was loved and appreciated. Her gentle spirit will live forever!
Sue was born July 25, 1922, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Allen “Bun” Wyatt and Bertha Rankin Wyatt.
Sue graduated from Uniontown High School and attended Maryland College for Women.
During World War II she had been employed at the Pentagon.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, James Wyatt and half brother, Allen “Bunny” Wyatt.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank Wilhelm; six children: Dr. Michael Wilhelm of Uniontown, Pa., Mary Lou Gordon and her husband, William, of Chalk Hill, Pa., Dr. George Wilhelm and his wife, Jacqueline, of Hopwood, Pa., Leon E. Wilhelm and his wife, Claudia, of Rubles Mill, Pa., Rebecca A. McGarvey and her husband, Robert, of Chalk Hill, Pa., and Paul B. Wilhelm and his wife, Kelley, of Uniontown, Pa.; five grandchildren: William Gregg Gordon III, James Ashton, Frank Wyatt Wilhelm, Lauren Kathleen Wilhelm, and Aaron Leonard Wilhelm; a half sister, Nan Pasek and her husband, Al; and a half brother, Bruce Wyatt.
All services were private at her request and were conducted by her nephew, Pastor David Herring.
Memorial may be made to the Pennsylvania Room of the Uniontown Public Library, Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401.
Funeral arrangements were under direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, PA.
