Velma Jean Shivler, 89, of Mount Pleasant, Pa., who graduated from Uniontown High School and also California University of Pennsylvania, retired Supervisor from the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and was born in Uniontown, Pa., went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, April 13, 2002, from Noble Personal Care Home, Mount Pleasant. She is survived by two nephews: William Smitley and his wife, Gloria, of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Jack D. Wilson and his wife, Ann, of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; niece, Erla Springer and her husband, James, of Hermitage, Pa.; several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

Family will receive Friends in the Eugene G. Saloom Funeral Home Inc., 730 West Main Street, Mount Pleasant, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, April 15, until 12 Noon.
