Velma Carolyn Vertachnik Washco, 71, of Canonsburg, Pa., formerly of Washington, Pa., who was born and raised in York Run, Uniontown R.D., Pa., a graduate of the former Georges Township High School and former employee of Sears in Uniontown, died Saturday, April 13, 2002, at home. She is survived by two daughters: Debra Washco of Burgettstown, Pa., and Diana Washco-Nagy of Canonsburg, Pa.; and grandson, Nilan Nagy of Canonsburg.

Family will receive Friends at the William Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 17, until 9:30 a.m.
