William Pawluk

William Pawluk, 89, of Richeyville, Pa., died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2002, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township, Washington County, Pa. He was born August 6, 1912, in Smallwood, Pa., son of Thomas and Mary Pawluk.

Mr. Pawluk was a member of Christian Assembly of God Church, Bentleyville.

He retired in 1973 as a Coal Miner from Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation’s Mine No. 5, Vestaburg, and was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 762 Vestaburg.

His wife, Anna Mae Johnson Pawluk, died May 23, 1991. Also deceased are four sisters, Stella Sterbenz, Jessie Baniak, Helen Herman, Mary Oswald, and his parents.

Surviving are a daughter, Henrietta Pawluk Snyder and her husband, Paul Snyder, of Grand Prairie, Texas; a son, William T. Pawluk and his wife, Suzanne Pawluk, of Donora, Pa.; three grandchildren: Laurie Mortenson, Bill Pawluk and Michael Pawluk; two great grandchidlren: Dawson Mortenson and Cienna Mortenson; a brother, Adolph Pawluk of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four sisters: Connie Stodolka of Tucson, Arizona, Sue Kovacs of Phoenix, Arizona, Wanda Heyda of Ravenna, Ohio, and Barbara Mucci of Richeyville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Route 40, Beallsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Visitation continues Tuesday, April 16, in Christian Assembly of God Church, 100 Meadow Lane, Bentleyville, Pa., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Michael Goodling officiating.

Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery.
