Irene K. Arendas Long, 72, of Parma, Ohio, and formerly of York Run, Fayette County, Pa., died Sunday evening, April 14 2002, in Parma, Ohio. She was born November 6, 1929, in York Run, Pa., daughter of Frank Arendas and Elizabeth Yankura Arendas.

Two brothers, John Arendas and Michael Arendas, two sisters, Margaret Lukasik and Betty MacDonald, and her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Beth Long; brother, Edward Arendas, and sister-in-law, Mary Arendas, both of York Run, Pa.; and nieces: Kathy Sabatini, Carol Budinsky and Marianne Muzika.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 9 a.m., when a prayer service will be held.

A Mass of Christian burial follows at 9:30 a.m., in Ss. Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church, Fairchance, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance.
