Helen S. Keteles
Helen Susan Frances Quarrick Keteles, 84, of Allison No. 2, Pa., joined the Church Eternal on Sunday, April 14, 2002, in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1918, in Dunlap, Pa., a daughter of the late Adam Quarrick and Suzanne Letavec Quarrick.
Helen was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church of Republic, the Legion of Mary, and the Greater Fayette County Respect for Life Committee. She was a fervent woman of prayer, and believed in the Sanctity of life, through all states of development. She participated in many pro-life Marches, and activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin daughters, Carolyn and Jean; and the following brothers and sisters, Joseph, Andrew, Adam, Stephen, Rose and Betty (Elizabeth) Quarrick and Margaret Duritsky.
Surviving are her beloved son, Paul William Keteles and his wife, Mary Ellen of McClellandtown, Pa.; sisters, Anne Rankin of Parma, Ohio, Marie Thomas of Brooklyn, Ohio, and Louise Mirkovich and her husband, Anthony of North Miami Beach, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Quarrick of Allison No. 2, Pa., and Esther Quarrick of Antioch, Calif.; nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 9:30 a.m., when a prayer service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m., in Holy Rosary Church, with the Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Brownsville. A Parish Wake Service will be held this evening at 8 p.m.
