Man arrested

Christopher Jacobs, 22, of 8 Searight Ave., Uniontown, was arrested on a bench warrant for possession with intent to deliver cocaine after he was found on Coolspring Street at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday, city police said. Jacobs ran inside a home on Coolspring Street and was taken into custody, police said. He was turned over to the Fayette County Prison.

Theft

State police at Belle Vernon are investigating an incident in which a lost credit card was used to obtain money at the National City Drive-Thru Bank at the intersection of Route 51 and Constitution Drive at 1:28 p.m. March 28. Police said someone used a lost credit card owned by Nancy E. Toll, 58, of Star Junction to make a false deposit of $200 and they withdrew $100.

Speakers taken

Two 6- by 9-inch Sony Explore speakers were taken from a vehicle on a legislative route at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. The owner is Patrick L. Haines, 38, of Dunbar.

Public drunkenness

Mark Fowler of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he allegedly caused a disturbance at the Blue Mountain Motel on Route 40 at 9 a.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Connellsville Twp.

Attempted burglary Someone broke into a garage at Bullskin Tipple Co. and attempted to take a vehicle from inside sometime between noon on April 1 and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, state police said. A 3-foot section of metal siding and the ignition to a 1989 Chrysler LeBaron were damaged, police said.

Harassment

State police are investigating an incident in which a Lemont Furnace man allegedly slapped Tanya L. Ghrist of Lemont Furnace during an incident on High Street at 10:20 p.m. Sunday.

Package stolen

A UPS package intended by Charlotte M. Vernon, 33, of Hibbs was signed for and taken by someone else at 1:15 p.m. April 10, state police said. The incident occurred on Summit Street in Ralph.

Hit-and-run probed

The driver of a red Ford truck struck a parked vehicle on Broadway Street at 4:10 p.m. and then fled the scene, state police said. The owner of the parked vehicle is Rose M. Willard, 44, of Smithfield.

DUI charges filed

Gary Lee Teets Jr., 30, of Uniontown is facing charges for driving under the influence for an incident that occurred on Route 119 at the Everson exit at 2:15 a.m. April 6, state police said. Police said Teets was stopped for traveling 102 mph in a 55-mph zone and he was found to be DUI. The charges were filed Wednesday in the office of District Justice Robert W. Breakiron.

Motorcycle taken

A 1999 Kawasaki 300 cc KLX motorcycle was taken from the front of a garage on Carr Avenue in Newboro between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, state police said. The bike, which is green with blue handlebars, is owned by David Bernard Novak, 44, of Fairbank. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-439-7111.

Sticker stolen

Debra Swift of Prospect Street reported to city police that someone cut the registration sticker from her vehicle sometime Wednesday.

Simple assault

State police are investigating an assault that occurred at the intersection of Sunshine Hollow Road and Messmore Road at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday. Nathan Allan Barkley, 22, of McClellandtown told police that an unknown blonde white male with a mustache and goatee, medium build, wearing blue jeans and no shirt assaulted him. Police said the man was driving a green Chevrolet Cavalier.

Window broken

A window was broken at Neubauer’s Flowers on South Gallatin Avenue at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Church vandalized

A stained glass window at Mount Olivet Baptist Church on Stewart Avenue was broken with a potato sometime Tuesday night, city police said. Someone also hit the outside of the church with potatoes and eggs, police said.

Parked vehicle struck

No injuries were reported in a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Dunbar Street and South Beeson Boulevard at 2:35 a.m. Sunday, city police said. A vehicle driven by Sean E. Martin, 32, of Uniontown went through the intersection and struck a parked vehicle owned by Jennifer Speggen of Uniontown. After the impact, the vehicle went into a yard on South Beeson Boulevard and struck a chain link fence. Martin told police his brakes failed.

Two-vehicle accident

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of an unnamed alley and North Gallatin Avenue at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday, city police said. Vehicles driven by Jeffrey Scardanella, 35, of Perryopolis and Jessie R. Layhue, 32, of Uniontown were involved in the accident. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and Layhue’s vehicle was towed. A passenger in Layhue’s vehicle, George Layhue of Uniontown was taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment of a facial injury.

Juvenile arrested

A male juvenile was arrested Wednesday for simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for an incident that occurred on West Main Street on April 8, city police said. The juvenile allegedly assaulted Kevin Bryte while Bryte was getting ready to deliver a pizza outside Pizza Outlet.

Sticker stolen

An inspection sticker was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot of Sails Inn, city police said. The incident was reported at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday.

Two-vehicle accident

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and Beeson Boulevard at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday, city police said. Vehicles driven by Charles Zebley, 50, of Richeyville and Margaret McGarrity, 43, of Dunbar were involved in the accident. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed. Zebley suffered a leg injury and McGarrity suffered a chest injury, police said.
