James Balsley
James Balsley, 85, of Lancaster, Pa., who previously worked in marketing for Hagan Dairy in Uniontown, Pa., retired in 1982 as a Sales Manager from Penn Dairies in York, Pa., served as a Lieutenant with the United States Army Engineers in Burma during World War II, and was born in Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Essa Flory Hospital Center, Lancaster. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julia Hamilton Balsley; children: James M. Balsley II and wife, Michelle, of Mountville, Pa., Joyce Balsley Peters and husband, Bob Peters, of Bel Air, Maryland, and Sally Balsley Just and husband, Walter Newcomer, of Manheim, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Balsley McWilliams of Pasadena, California.
The Family received Friends at The Funeral Home of Fred F. Groff Inc., 234 West Orange Street, Lancaster, Pa., on Monday, April 1, from 10 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m.
