1 min read

FRANKLIN TWP. – Supervisors reported a huge success with their clean-up day at Monday’s regular meeting. The township-wide event was organized to run the same day as the one sponsored by Greene County. It allowed residents a chance to offload hard to recycle items such as large furniture items and appliances. Supervisor Jim Hopkins declared the day a success, noting that workers were kept busy all day trying to keep up with hauling off the items brought by residents.

In other business, supervisors awarded bids for road maintenance materials to Russell Standard for modified in place at $138,600, Greer Limestone for assorted aggregates totaling $38,500, and Golden Eagle for road patching materials totaling $22,500.
