CPR event scheduled “Save-A-Heart” Saturday, a CPR training event, will be held Saturday in Monongahela Valley Hospital’s Education Conference Center. CPR classes will be offered from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. “Save-A-Heart” Saturday is part of the American Heart Association’s Operation Heartbeat initiative for the Mon Valley. Five different CPR classes will be offered, including CPR Friends & Family; Adult, CPR Friends & Family – Infant & Child; CPR Heartsaver – Infant & Child Certification; CPR – Adult Certification; and Heartsaver AED. Class size will be limited, and pre-registration is encouraged. Walk-ins will be welcome in classes that have openings. Participants will receive a CPR completion card from the American Heart Association and a “Save-A-Heart Saturday” T-shirt. Dance planned
Center in the Woods is having a dance on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. “The Sound of Country” is providing the music. There will be a cake walk and refreshments will be served. Tickets cost $4 at the door. Center in the Woods is also forming teams to play horseshoes every Thursday at 1 p.m. Dominick Sabatini is organizing the teams.
