Valetta I. Barker, 75, of National Park, New Jersey, formerly of Jefferson and Waynesburg died Sunday, April 21, 2002 at her daughter’s home in New Jersey. Mrs. Barker was a homemaker and worked for 25 years as a nanny and housekeeper.

She was a member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are three daughters, Charlotte Zediker and Ruth Ann Zack, both of National Park, N.J. and Tina Rae Ruble of Winder, Ga.; a son Gary Lee Walker of Blountstown, Fla; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one sister Esther Eileen Padkrajac of Wall; and a brother Edwin Dale Brand of Brownsville.

Friends of Valetta I. Barker will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Behm Funeral Home Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.
