Walter H. Woodward
Walter H. Woodward, 99, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. in The Parish House, Perryopolis. He was born August 25, 1902, in Franklin Township, Fayette County, Pa., son of Robert M. Woodward and Violet Craft Woodward.
Walter was a member of Star Junction United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of Morning Star Grange.
He was a retired Coal Miner and a retired employee from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
His wife, LaVinnie Carr Woodward, their son, William Robert Woodward, and his parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by a grandson, Brent Woodward of Star Junction, Pa.; granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas (Ashley) Shetterly, and great grandchildren, Dylan Van Nucci, Lauren Van Nucci, and Erin Shetterly, all of Grindstone, Pa.; nieces: Mrs. William (Violet) Ramage of Uniontown Pa., and Mrs. William (Doris) Kenny of Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, April 24, until 1 p.m., the hour of Service with Rev. James N. Pond officiating.
Interment follows in Mount Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis.
