Bailey D. Leonard, 56, of Markleysburg, Pa., died suddenly Thursday, April 25, 2002, at his home. He was born February 16, 1946, in Confluence, Pa., son of the late Russell and Georgie Bryner Leonard.

Bailey attended Gospel Center Church where he served as a Trustee. He was the owner-operator of Leonard Forest Products. He graduated from the former South Union High School Class of 1965 and served in the United States Army during Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Gale Lorene Myers Leonard. Three children: Malinda Workman and husband Howard J. of Uniontown, Pa., Jason Leonard and wife Carla of Markleysburg, Russell B. “Rusty” Leonard and wife Heidi of Confluence, Pa. Six grandchildren, Charity, Courtney and Derek Workman, Hailey, Heather and Rebecca Leonard. One brother, Russell B. “Joe” Leonard of Grantsville, Maryland, and a sister Kathryn “Flip” Van Nosdeln of Ohiopyle, Pa.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., today until 2 p.m. the hour of the service with Rev. Martin Stewart, his Pastor officiating.

Interment will follow in Bryner Ridge Cemetery.

There was visitation on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Gospel Center Church, Markleysburg, or Sansom Chapel United Methodist Church, Farmington.
