Earl W. Neubauer Sr., 80, of Youngwood, Pa., Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps who served in World War II as a Staff Sergeant, worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad, retired from Union Switch and Signal in Swissvale, Pa., and was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., died in his home Friday, April 26, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty M. Griffith Neubauer; children: Mary Ann and her husband, Charles “C. B.” Hegan, of Ligonier, Pa., Adam Derr Sr. and his wife, Janice, of Dawson, Pa., Patricia and her husband, Robert Ritson, of Greensburg, Pa., Lucy Derr Mento and her husband, Andy Mento, of Greensburg, Earl W. Neubauer Jr. of Simpsonville, South Carolina, and Walter Neubauer and his wife, Cheryl, of Armbrust, Pa.; grandchildren: Amy and her husband Chris Baum, of Ligonier, Jessica and her husband, Chris Light, of Ligonier, Adam Derr Jr. and his wife, Tyanne, of Dawson, Dyanna and her husband, Chris Fulmer of Dawson, Becky Derr of Dawson, Robert Ritson Jr. and his wife, Maureen, of Greensburg, Trisha Ritson of Greensburg, Carrie Mento of Columbia, Maryland, Tim Mento of Greensburg, Brandy Lichwa and her fiance, Pete Yurkosky, of San Diego, California, Jackie Neubauer and her fiance, Jon Pasqualle, of Greensburg, David Neubauer of Armbrust, Rachel Neubauer and Michael Neubauer both of South Carolina; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Neubauer Manol and her husband, Thomas Manol, of Portersville, Pa.

Friends will be received at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home Inc., Youngwood, Pa., today from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, April 29, in Zion’s Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
