By Patty Shultz 3 min read

BULLSKIN TWP. – An arrest warrant has been issued for a McClellandtown man charged with homicide by vehicle stemming from a two-car accident that killed one man and injured another person. Torrie Jamal Wilson, 26, of 598C Belsar Lane also is charged with an accident involving death or personal injury, accident involving death or personal injury while not licensed, accident by death involving damage to a vehicle or property and nine summary offenses related to the April 16 incident.

According to police, Wilson was driving the 1997 Ford truck that struck and killed Thomas W. Swank, 73, of Connellsville.

A passenger in the truck, Dynisha Shantae Jones, 18, also of McClellandtown, was treated for injuries at Frick Hospital after the accident.

Police said Wilson failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Route 119 and Kingview Road and struck Swank’s 1995 Buick Century as he was traveling through the intersection.

Before giving information to police, Wilson left the scene with two unknown individuals and was not identified until Thursday when the charges were filed with District Justice Robert Breakiron.

Wilson is also wanted by the New York City Fugitive Task Force, Jefferson Hills Police Department, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Liberty Bail Bonds.

In New York, Wilson faces a 15- to 20-year prison sentence on drug charges, while the Jefferson Hills Police Department wants him for providing false identification during a traffic stop.

Local bench warrants have been issued for his apprehension stemming from his failure to appear in Fayette County Court for sentencing.

Last year, Wilson pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was to be sentenced to a year in prison. When he failed to appear, Fayette County Judge Ralph E. Warman issued the bench warrant.

In January, a subsequent warrant was issued for his arrest stemming from the same matter.

Wilson is black with black hair and brown eyes, stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds.

Liberty Bail Bonds is offering a $2,000 reward for Wilson’s apprehension.

A spokesperson for the bonding firm said Wilson’s bond was forfeited after he missed a sentencing hearing in New York.

Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call 800-837-0208.

Fayette County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward to any person with information that leads to Wilson’s arrest.

Those with information should call 724-437-8477 or toll free at 877-834-8477.

State police at Uniontown also are accepting information regarding Wilson’s location and can be reached at 724-439-7111.
