Roy M. Artis, 78, a lifelong resident of Connellsville, Pa., who was a highest honors graduate of Connellsville High School Class of 1943, Veteran of World War II who served in the European Theatre, and retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation’s Decorating Department in South Connellsville, Pa., died Saturday, April 27, 2002, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Leona Marsinko Artis, with whom he would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year; daughters, Bettyann Artis Bisher and her husband, Lawrence E. Bisher, and Grace Artis Cross, and a grandson, Brandon Cross, all of Pennsville, Pa.; many nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive Friends in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 1, until 9:30 a.m.
