Catherine Mavretich, 84, of Merrittstown, Pa., passed away Saturday, April 27, 2002, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown. She was born November 29, 1917, in Gates, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of Frank Mavretich and Dora Frlan Mavretich.

Catherine was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Republic.

Her parents, sisters, Anna Lapori and Mary Reele, and brothers, Lawrence and Frank Mavretich, preceded her in death.

Surviving are a sister, Stephanie Hrivnak, of Toms River, New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 2 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, April 30, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Republic.

Wake Service will be held today at 4 p.m.
