Record promoted at Uniontown Hospital

Donald T. Record, former director of materials management at the Uniontown Hospital, was recently promoted to vice president of support services at the hospital. Record received his bachelor of arts degree in administration and management from California University in 1986.

He continued his education at St. Francis College, where he began to pursue a master’s degree in business administration.

He then returned to California University, completing his master’s degree in 2000, graduating with a 4.0 grade-point average.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Record began to build a diverse work history, accumulating experience relevant to his field. In 1992, he entered the health care sector of his field as the assistant director of materials management at Center Community Hospital in State College.

In 1996, Record joined the Uniontown Hospital as director of materials management, a position he has held for the last six years.

Paul Bacharach, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Uniontown Hospital, said:

“We are very pleased to have Don join our management team at Uniontown Hospital. His experience and skills will assist our organization in maintaining its leadership position in healthcare throughout our region.”

As the vice president of support services at the Uniontown Hospital, Record will oversee the support services division, including materials, laundry, engineering, infection control, respiratory care, housekeeping and nutritional services.

In response to his promotion, Record said, “Being promoted from within speaks volumes for the organization and our commitment to developing our own people. It is an honor to be a part of the Uniontown Hospital management team. Having grown up in the area, I am proud to be associated with such a strong, community-oriented health care organization.”

Record resides locally with his wife, Billiebeth, and three children, Donnie, 11; Alexandra, 9; and Abigail, 8. He is a member of the National Association of Purchasing Managers and the American Society of Hospital Materials Managers.
