Man cited

Earl Lewis Spiker, 51, of 140 Walnut St., Uniontown, was cited for public drunkenness after he was found passed out in a car on Gallatin Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Cement spilled

City police said a Stone and Co. truck spilled cement on the street at the intersection of Connellsville and East Main streets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The city’s fire and street departments cleared the street. Police said some of the cement splashed onto vehicles at the Penn State Auto Sales lot and an employee washed the affected vehicles.

License plate stolen

City police said Keith Saunders reported Tuesday afternoon that a license plate, bearing Pennsylvania registration ETR-5614, was stolen from his van parked near the intersection of Beeson Avenue and Dunbar Street.

Arthur Wilson reported to city police the theft of a Sony videocassette recorder and other items from his Nutt Avenue home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. He told police that his door was not locked because he was in the process of moving.

Accident reported

City police said Nicole E. Chambers, 17, of Maurice Street and Deena L. Baker, 33, of Woodview Terrace were involved in two-vehicle accident Monday at 12:03 a.m. on Morgantown Street near Craig Street.

State police said Katherine E. Benson of Vanderbilt was the victim of check forgery between May 18 and July 18.

State police said a mailbox owned by Dennis Lloyd of Maplewood Road was removed from a post Monday or Tuesday.

State police said the lock was broken off of a pop machine at Hennessey’s Country Market on Linden Hall Road and about $10 in change was taken Tuesday before 7 a.m.

Man cited

Jeffrey P. Pierotti, 50, of Perryopolis was cited for disorderly conduct July 22 at 9:20 p.m. after an incident in a wooded area south of McDonald’s Restaurant.

Fight investigated

State police said Denise Lacey, 35, of Scenery Hill and Barbara Calladine, 38, Cecil Calladine, 50, and Joseph Lacey, 32, all of Richeyville, fought at The Miner’s Club in Richeyville at 1 a.m. Saturday.

Stolen car recovered

State police in Greensburg said a white 1993 Chevrolet Blazer reported stolen by Nancy Koffler of Uniontown was found Sunday along Gravel Hill Road in Westmoreland County.

Vandalism reported

Nancy Thomas of 7 Huron St. told Brownsville police Wednesday that someone emptied a 55-gallon drum of garbage into her hedges overnight. In addition, a hole was put in her siding and a double-pane window was broken earlier in the month. Damages total $400.

Rock thrown

Meredith Leonard of 15 Shaffner Ave., Brownsville, told police Wednesday morning that someone threw a rock at her whole-house fan, causing $100 damage.

Man charged

Jason Shamrock, 37, of Smithfield was charged before District Justice Randy Abraham for recklessly endangering Gregory Reynolds, 27, and Clifford Kay, 30, both of Fairchance, after Shamrock allegedly struck all-terrain vehicles owned by the victims with his vehicle, state police said. The incident occurred July 15 at 9:40 p.m. near the Fayette Business Park, police said.

Windshield smashed

Joyce Franks, 49, of Fairchance told state police that someone broke the windshield of her truck at her Coolspring Street residence Monday at 1:45 p.m.

Someone struck the roof of a car owned by Michael Fesh of Kingview July 14 between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. as he traveled along West Penn Boulevard, state police said.

Brian McDowell, 28, of Uniontown told state police that a Uniontown man allegedly pushed him at his Whyle Avenue residence Monday at 8:15 p.m.

According to state police, mailboxes owned by Robin Kisner, 36, and Kurt Schroyer, 21, both of Smithfield, were damaged Tuesday at 2 a.m. along Jackie Franks Road.

According to state police, someone broke into a vehicle owned by SJB Services Inc. of Hamburg N.Y., along Route 40 and stole a tire wrench and some rope between 6 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

State police said a vehicle driven by Matthew Rainey, 21, of Grindstone crashed into a utility pole along Stone Church Road at 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.

According to state police, a vehicle operated by Robin Stump, 36, of Masontown crashed into a ditch along a legislative route at Gray Street at 12:24 a.m. Wednesday.

Hit-and-run probed

State police said someone struck a vehicle operated by Angela Shultz, 21, of Smithfield while she was stopped at a traffic signal along Route 119 Sunday at 2:40 a.m.

Man charged

State police said Ryan Lanko, 23, of Masontown was charged with disorderly conduct before District Justice Randy Abraham for allegedly starting a fight at Seghi’s Lake at 2:45 a.m. July 20.

Man harassed

According to state police, George Burwell, 37, of Waltersburg was charged for allegedly threatening David C. David of Ronco along Ronco Road Saturday at 1 a.m.

Juvenile charged

According to state police, charges were filed before District Justice Rick Vernon against a juvenile who allegedly damaged the window of a car owned by Mandy Heckathorn, 21, of Vanderbilt along Third Street, Buffington, Tuesday at 2:15 a.m.

Police investigate

State police are investigating the suspected rape of a 2-year-old Point Marion girl Tuesday between 10 and 11 p.m. Her mother took the girl to Uniontown Hospital, and after a preliminary check the child was transported to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for further treatment, police said.

According to state police, a hit-and-run driver struck a vehicle driven by Eric Newell of Dawson as Newell was backing up from a driveway along a legislative route Tuesday at 2:45 p.m.

Safe stolen

Elizabeth Rhodes, 62, of Smithfield told state police someone broke into her 292 Fairview Hill Road residence Tuesday between 5:50 a.m. and 2 p.m. and stole a safe and some jewelry.

Damage reported

James Hice of Ronco told state police that someone threw a brick into a solar cover at his Ronco home between 7 p.m. Monday and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Toolbox stolen

State police said someone stole a toolbox from the bed of a truck owned by Clyde Nicholson of Uniontown at his Murphy Street residence between 5:30 p.m. July 23 and 6:55 a.m. July 24.

Vehicles collide

State police said vehicles driven by John Trump, 78, and Sarah Bowen, 20, both of Uniontown, collided along Route 119 Monday at 2:02 p.m. The drivers and passenger Jessica Bowen, 18, were injured in the crash, police said.

Connellsville

Charges filed

Connellsville police have filed charges against the following stemming from unrelated incidents:

– Robert Jonathan Smith, 22, of 695 Mt. Pleasant Road, Ruffsdale, with public drunkenness after being found drunk outside a North Manor residence on July 27.

– David A. Goda, 32, of 305 S. 12th St. for harassment after he punched a Uniontown man during an incident on July 25.

– Ronald J. Bee, 33, of Connellsville for harassment and criminal trespass after he entered the home of a Connellsville woman and punched her in the forehead and grabbed her by the arm on July 24.

Drug offenses

Connellsville police filed a variety of drug charges against Joni Showman, 20, of 409 S. Arch St. after she allegedly smoked marijuana with several female juveniles and then sold marijuana to the juveniles.

Police charged Showman with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of corruption of minors stemming from the July 21 incident.

She will appear before District Justice Robert Breakiron at a later date.
