ST. JOHN HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1947 will hold a reunion meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Becker’s Shady Side Inn. The reunion is set for Sept.1 4. Deadline for reservations is Sept. 7. For more information, call 724-438-9389. FAYETTE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY meeting for Monday has been canceled. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Searights Toll House.
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, will hold its summer festival Sunday from noon to 11 p.m. Ethnic foods, baked goods, games, crafts and prizes will be featured. D.J. Church Welling will provide music from noon to 5 p.m. and polka music by the Dynasonics will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
AMVETS POST 103, Ladies Auxiliary, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the post in Hopwood. HOLY ROSARY CHURCH, Republic, will hold its annual street fair from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday.
GOLDEN AGE CLUB of Uniontown will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Christ United Methodist Church. Members are to meet at the parking garage at 8:45 a.m. for the Latrobe trip on Wednesday. Money is due for the October bus trip.
The 25th annual Gans-Crystal Community picnic will be held Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. at the Dave and Joan Miller residence in Gans.
LADIES AID SOCIETY of St. John Lutheran Church, 144 E. South St., Connellsville, will hold its annual Peach Festival in the Martin Luther Hall, next to the church on Wednesday. Serving is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Sandwiches and take-out orders will be available. Price is $3.50 for adults; $2 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children under age 5.
