Kenneth Hough

Kenneth Hough of Morrell, Pa., a former resident of Springfield Pike, in Connellsville Township, for 50 years, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2002, with his loving family by his side, while in Somerset Hospital, after a lingering illness with cancer. He was born March 10, 1936, in Connellsville, Pa., a son of Sarah Frances “Sally” Coffman Hough of Connellsville, and the late Clarence “Peck” Hough.

Kenneth was a graduate of Connellsville High School, with the Class of 1955.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force for five years. He worked at Anchor Hocking Glass Plant for nine years, and then retired from Stone & Company, where he worked as a concrete truck driver for 27 years. He was most recently a part-time employee of Pleasant Trucking in Connellsville.

Kenneth was a lifetime member of the Connellsville Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Teamster Union Local No. 491, in Uniontown, and the South Connellsville Rod & Gun Club. He was a member of the James Cochran Lodge No. 614 F&AM of Dawson, the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, and the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Consistory Valley of Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Connellsville.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting, spending time working in his yard, gardening and spending time with his grandsons.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Nancy M. Geary Hough; two daughters, Sandra Crocetti and her husband, Mike and Tammie Wascak and her husband, Pat, all of Dunbar; a son, Kenneth Alan Hough and his wife, Robin of Concord, N.C.; three grandsons, Mario and Gino Crocetti and Luke Wascak, all of Dunbar; three sisters, Mary Craig and her husband, Toey of Normalville, Kay Eicher and her husband, James and Serena Taylor and her husband, Richard, all of Connellsville; three brothers, David Hough and his wife, Patty C., Richard “Dickie” Hough and his wife, Jeanne and Ralph Hough and his wife, Debbie, all of Connellsville; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Greene St., Connellsville, today from 2 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of a funeral service, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Elmer Reamer officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the Connellsville VFW and American Legion and Trotter American Legion honor guard. The Connellsville Township Volunteer Fire Department will conduct a service today at 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
