Masontown news
Art Gallery at church On the evenings of Aug. 12-16, the Masontown United Methodist Church will be transformed into an art gallery as it hosts its annual summer Vacation Bible School under the title of “God’s Great Gallery.”
Children from the ages of kindergarten through sixth-grade are invited to participate.
This year’s VBS encourages children to explore their creativity through a variety of art experiences while they learn about God, the great creator.
This program leads children to a deeper relationship with God as they experience five extraordinary Bible stories.
The church is located on the corner of Main and Cross streets in Masontown.
For more information, please call the church at 724-583-9207.

Children’s Fun Day
On July 27, the “Friends of the Library” sponsored a “Children’s Fun Day at the Library.” Merchants and the people of the community pulled together to make this a special day in the lives of the children.
The children left with their tummies full of hot dogs, popcorn, cupcakes, candy and Little Hugs. Their little hands carried bags of loot and their faces were painted with gay colors.
The children left behind their handprints and names on a white cloth.
Parents and the public are invited to view this beautiful piece of handiwork at the Masontown Library during regular business hours.
