Mildred E. Stofcheck Alexander
Mildred E. Stofcheck Alexander, age 80, of Carmichaels, Pa., died at 12 Noon on Friday, August 2, 2002, in her home. She was born September 26, 1921, in Ronco, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Biacofsky Stofcheck.
Mrs. Alexander was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church in Carmichaels and the Altar Rosary Society of the Church.
On September 25, 1940, she married William L. Alexander. He died November 19, 1999.
Surviving are her brother, Joseph Stevens of Dearborn, Michigan; several nieces and nephews and cousins including her caregivers, Alanna and Sherill McVay, Andrew McVay and Sherri Jo McVay Smith, with whom she made her home.
Friends will be received at the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 5, at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary A. Gibson will officiate.
Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, c/o the Washington Hospital Foundation, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
