No injuries
State police said Brice Christopher of New Salem escaped injuries in a car crash at 10:45 p.m. Friday along York Run Road. Christopher was traveling west when he failed to negotiate a turn, went off the road, causing the vehicle to overturn, said police.

Attempted robbery
Two men entered the residence of Robert Donald Welty, 42, 671 Camendy Farm Road, Westmoreland County, by forcing open the front door at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, said state police in Greensburg. One of the men was described as white, 5 feet 5 inches, medium build, with light hair.
The men held David Ray Mulhorn, 28, and Mina Hixson, 22, at gunpoint and bound them with duct tape, said police. Welty was not home at the time of the incident. The men demanded access to a safe in the house, but fled when they were unable to gain access, police said.
Mulhorn and Hixson were able to free themselves and notify police. They sustained minor abrasions, but did not require medical treatment, said police.

Damaged property
State police are investigating damage that occurred between July 12 and Aug. 6 at a residence along Morgantown Road, Lake Lynn.
Damage estimated to be $1,120 occurred when the windshield and taillight were broken on a vehicle along with windows damaged on a storage trailer and a door was torn off a shed.

A window was damaged between 1 p.m., Aug 2 and 4 p.m., Aug 3 at the residence of John L. Molek, 58, of Walnut Hill Road, Smithfield, said state police. The damage is estimated at $60, said police.

One injured
John J. Kuritz sustained injuries during a 4:39 p.m. Saturday accident along Vances Mill Road, when his motorcylce struck and killed a deer, state police reported.
Kuritz was wearing a helmet.

Glen Myers, 34, of Bentleyville was cited with harassment following a 12:55 a.m., July 28 incident on Spring Street in Richeyville, said police.

Antonio Rivera, 23, of Richeyville was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order on July 28 at 114 Armor St., Richeyville, said police.

Lawrence Filby, 34, of Vestaburg was arrested for access device fraud and theft by unlawful taking, police said. Filby is accused of unlawfully taking $4,155.50 on July 20, police said.

Lori Devecka, 40, of Denbo was cited with disorderly conduct after allegedly shouting obscenities at Robin Kolik at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday on Third Street, Vesta 6, said police.

Woman assaulted
Stanley Stotka, 49, of Vestaburg was charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly struck Cathy Harmon in the face and tried to shove a set of keys in her mouth.
Police said the two were in Stotka’s vehicle around 9:45 p.m. Friday along Carson Drive when the incident occurred.

The lumber never reached its designated destination and was reported stolen, said police.

Order violated
Police arrested Frederick Anthony Sherwood Jr., 26, of Dunbar for violating a protection from abuse order after he allegedly entered a Church Street residence on July 29 and confronted Stephanie L. Ritenour, 21, of Connellsville.
Sherwood was arraigned before District Justice Breakiron then lodged in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $10,000 cash bond, police said.
