Brown-Rankin
Brandi N. Rankin of West Brownsville and Brad Brown of Leckrone were united in marriage on July 20. The Rev. Timothy Tanner heard the exchange of vows at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, McClellandtown.
The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Shirley Rankin of West Brownsville. The bridegroom is the son of Theodore and Darlinda Brown of Leckrone.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown with a corset style bodice, adorned with sequins and pearls, with a cathedral-length train. An elbow-length veil of illusion fell from a silver and Australian crystal tiara.
Deborah Brown, cousin of the groom, served as matron of honor. Elizabeth Rankin, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Kozich, cousin of the groom; Edna Martin, aunt of the groom; Melissa Reda, cousin of the groom; Valerie Bradee, Tonya Hixen and Holly Barton. Megan Martin, cousin of the groom, was the junior bridesmaid. Celeana Lowery, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.
The best men were Mitchell (Mick) Brown, cousin of the groom; Theodore Walters and William Collins. Ushers were Mark Martin, uncle of the groom; George Lowery; Scott Brown, cousin of the groom; Dave (Cat) Hixen, and Theodore (T.R.) Minerd, Mark Barton was the junior usher. Ring bearer was Ryan Stewart, cousin of the groom.
A reception was held at the Carmichaels V.F.W. Pose 3491.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Brownsville Area High School, and the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School in Cosmetology courses. She is self-employed.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, and the Fayette County Area Vocational Technical School in auto mechanics. He is self-employed.
The couple plan to honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico.
