Car salesman charged

State police charged Gregory Pike, a salesman at Garforld’s Quality Used Cars along Route 51, with tampering with public records for allegedly falsifying a document related to the sale of a car between Dec. 28 and Thursday.

Pike, of Star Junction, also allegedly falsified the application for a vehicle title, according to police.

He also faces two counts of disciplinary proceedings for the alleged falsifications under Title 63, the state’s professions and occupations statute.

Trooper William Coddington filed charges against Pike before District Justice Mike Rubish.

Bike stolen

State police said a Mongoose stunt bike was stolen from the Monarch home of Justin David Hamborsky between Tuesday and Thursday.

Woman hit

Zabrina Lea Karnes, 23, told state police at Waynesburg that a 23-year-old woman hit her in the face during an argument Aug. 10.

State police at Waynesburg cited two boys for underage drinking after a traffic stop along Route 188 on Aug. 8. The juveniles were passengers.

State police said five newspapers were taken from Steve’s Market in Greensboro and set on fire between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday and Monday.

Donna Rae Richter, 53, of Waynesburg told state police that the lug nuts on her 1988 Ford Ranger were loosened between 6:30 and 11:30 p.m. Monday at her Homeville Road residence.

Eric Richardson, 18, of Clarksville reported his Suzuki motorcycle stolen from his garage between Sunday evening and Monday morning, said state police.

State police at Waynesburg said Tracy Lynn Fouch, 20, was kicked in the side during a fight at Valley Farm Drive around 7:25 p.m. Monday.

Man arrested

Robert Edward Caster, 56, of 78 Teagarden Homes, Clarksville, was arrested for driving under the influence May 11, police said.

Caster was arrested after results of a breath test showed his alcohol level was .126 percent, slightly above the legal limit for driving in Pennsylvania, police said.

Man charged

State police said Ricky Lee Finn, 21, of Carmichaels was charged with possession of marijuana after officers allegedly found the drug on him when they arrested him on unrelated charges around 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

Truck damaged

State police said David Brichetti’s truck was scratched between Sunday at 3:30 p.m. and Monday at 2:25 a.m. while parked at the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department.

Money stolen

Holly Wingard, 29, of Waynesburg told state police that someone broke into the trunk of her Chevrolet Cavalier and stole $71 in change between 11 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday at Mountainview Gardens.

Man charged

State police at Waynesburg said Joseph Tallerico of Waynesburg was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after officers stopped him for a traffic violation Aug. 10 along Route 21 and allegedly found his blood-alcohol content to be .179 percent.

Items stolen

Jennifer Miller told state police at Waynesburg that a Pioneer car stereo and 15 CDs were stolen from her car on Woodland Avenue between Aug. 9 and 10.

Obscenity reported

State police said an 18-year-old Mather woman used obscene language in public and toward police Aug. 10 around 1:30 p.m. at a Second Street, Mather, home. Police did not indicate that the woman was charged.

Fence damaged

James Mitchell told state police that three metal posts on a chain link fence at his Cranberry Alley property were damaged Aug. 11 between 3:45 and 4 a.m.

State police at Waynesburg said they found a highly intoxicated Waynesburg man walking around Route 21 around 2:25 a.m. Aug. 11.

Gun stolen

Elizabeth Areford, 59, of Waynesburg told state police that between late July and Aug. 9, a .22-caliber revolver was stolen from her 123 Fairview Ave. home.

Firearms violation

State police at Greensburg said a known individual tried to buy a firearm at a Westmoreland County Wal-Mart while being prohibited to do so. The person, who was not identified, was denied the weapon.

Car stolen

Phyllis Lazzari of Roscoe told state police that her 2001 Hyundai Elantra was stolen from her Locust Street home around 3:15 a.m. Thursday. Lazzari left the car running while she went inside her home, said police.

Brownsville

Man arrested

Brownsville police arrested Wilfredo Smith, 29, of 3 Crowe Ave., Uniontown, on three counts of terroristic threats and one count of indecent exposure after a dispute at 420 Clover St. at 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

During an argument, Smith allegedly spat on Shanna Spence, then left the scene and returned a short while later with a handgun and said he would kill everyone on the porch, police said.

He then exposed himself to Carla Spence, according to police.

Smith was arraigned before District Justice Brenda Cavalcante and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond.

A borough employee told Brownsville police Wednesday that he found a swing at the Water Street playground cut.

Two bicycles found at 310 Cadwallader St. at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday were taken to the Brownsville police station, where their owners can identify and claim them, police said.

Leslie Guthrie of 247 Prospect St. told Brownsville police Aug. 11 that someone cut the left rear tire on her car.

Child bitten

Talvin Barnes, 8, of 552 Fifth Ave., Brownsville, was treated at Brownsville General Hospital after being bitten on the right leg by a dog owned by Tim Guth around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 10, according to borough police. The dog was tied on Guth’s property when the incident occurred, police said.

Mark Yakopovich of 409 National Pike East told Brownsville police Aug. 10 that someone took a hollow wood door from a house he owns at 2 Prospect St.

Vandalism reported

Brownsville police said someone threw chicken wings, sauce and other items onto a car owned by Nicholas DiLuzio III while it was parked at 1311 Water St.

A neighbor reported Aug. 8 that someone knocked over a flower box, wrote graffiti on a wall, broke a section of seating and broke the shades on the lamps at the Commons on Front Street, borough police said.
