Michael J. Digon, 67, of California, Pa., died Saturday, August 17, 2002. He was born July 24, 1935, son of the late John Digon and Anna Sabo Digon.

“Mike” was a member of California Hill Gun Club.

He retired from California University of Pennsylvania as a Carpenter Foreman.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Messina Digon; son and daughter-in-law, John and Shelly Digon of California, Pa.; three step daughters: Barb Dascanio of California, Pa., Bonnie Manos of Coal Center, Pa., and Debbie Roberts of California, Pa.; brother, Tom Digon of Morgantown, West Virginia; sisters: Mary Ann Sawka of Uniontown, Pa., Barbara Bruce and her husband, Sonny, of Greensboro, North Carolina, Jackie Hammer and her husband, Mike, of San Antonio, Texas, Virginia and Terry Janosek of McClellandtown, Pa., and Debbie and Gary Lenkey of Daisytown, Pa.; three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 20, until 9:30 a.m. when a Panachida Service will be held.

Divine Liturgy follows at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, with Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as Celebrant.

Parastas Service will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m.
