Mrs. E. Marie Meade Lopez, 66, of R.D.2, Heinz Camp Road, Portersville, Perry Township, Lawrence County, Pa., who was born in Aliquippa, Beaver County, Pa., graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., and taught in the elementary schools in the Aliquippa School District, Riverside Beaver County School District, and later in the Uniontown (Pa.) Area School District until her retirement, died unexpectedly at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning, August 18, 2002, in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, Pa. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Lopez, whom she married August 8, 1959; two daughters and sons-in-law and two sons and daughters-in-law: Ramona and Luis Barrantes of San Mateo, California, Christina and James Pegg of North Palm Beach, Florida, John and Pamela Lopez and J. Michael and Melissa Lopez all of Uniontown, Pa.; eight grandchildren; sisters: Mrs. Charlotte Meade Bacon of Sewickley, Pa., Mrs. Bernice Mason of Aliquippa, Pa., and Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Brewer of Cleveland, Ohio; and a brother, Russell Meade in Arizona.

Friends will be received at the Turner Funeral Homes Inc., 500 Sixth Street at Park Avenue, Ellwood City, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher at the Lake Catholic Church, Prospect, Pa.
