Thomas C. Evans, 92, formerly of Connellsville, Pa., United States Army Veteran who served during World War II and was wounded in the Pacific Theatre, worked for Anchor Hocking Corporation in South Connellsville for over 40 years, and former Custodian at St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, died Saturday, August 17, 2002, in Scottdale Manor Nursing Home, Scottdale, Pa. He is survived by his brother, Ramond G. Evans of Delaware; sister, Mary Catherine “Cassie” Evans Helms and her husband, Herbert Helms, of South Connellsville, Pa.; sister-in-law, Martha Evans of Salem, New Jersey; and numerous nephews and nieces including a special niece, Dorothy Taylor of South Connellsville, Pa.

Friends will be received in the Paul G. Fink Funeral Home Inc., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., today from 12 Noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 20, until 10 a.m.
