Stella Dudek Kufta, 71, a resident of Elyria, Ohio, for the past 46 years, died Wednesday, August 21, 2002, in her home following a short illness. She was born in Uniontown, Pa.

She retired as a PBX Operator for Luxaire.

Mrs. Kufta was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria.

Her parents, Ignatz Dudek and Helen Dzik Dudek, and a brother, John Dudek, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Anthony “Tony” Kufta; sisters: Frances Merchock of Uniontown, Pa., and Mary Louise Coukart of Selinsgrove, Pa.; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the BAUER-LAUBENTHAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road and State Route 57, Elyria, Ohio, on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m.

Final Prayers will be Saturday, August 24, at 9:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Elyria. Rev. Fr. Albert Krupp, Pastor, will be the Celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.
