Ralph C. Knoyer, 74, of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday, August 24, 2002, at his residence. He was born August 21, 1928, in Uniontown, Pa., son of Paul Knoyer and Margaret McTighe Knoyer.

He served in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1950.

For over 24 years Mr. Knoyer was an Instructor of RHVAC (Residential Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) at Gateway and Triangle Tech of Pittsburgh and Greensburg, Pa.

He was a member of Harbor of Light Chapel for 24 years where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, Counselor of Youth, and bus driver.

Presently he was a member of Cherry Tree Alliance Church where he had been a member for the previous 28 years, a member of The Crusaders Class, and taught as an Assistant Teacher.

He was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.

A brother, Thomas Knoyer, and parents preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Flossie B. Smith Knoyer; two brothers: Paul R. Knoyer Jr. and Earl Knoyer both of Uniontown; and two sisters: Claire Flynn and her husband, Edward, of Orlando, Florida, and Frances LoPresti of Cleveland, Ohio.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, August 27, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Robert W. Ellenberger officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park Brownfield, Pa.
