Mabel H. White, 77, of Old National Pike West, Brownsville (Centerville Boro) Pa., died Saturday, November 30, 2002 at 6:30 a.m. in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. She was born December 31, 1924 in Bethesda, Ohio, a daughter of Charles and Florence Warrick Hunt.

A homemaker, Mrs. White was a graduate of Bethesda High School.

She was a member of the Garwood Baptist Church and the Beallsville Senior Citizens.

Mrs. White enjoyed spending time with her family and embroidering.

On July 4, 1942, she married John P. White, Sr., who survives.

Also surviving are; five daughters, Mrs. Robert (Grace) Gutherie of Spring Lake, N.C., Mrs. John (Ellen) Sworcheck of Marianna, Pa., Mrs. Edwin (Opal) Morris of Charleroi, Pa., Mrs. David (Shirley) Shaw of Scenery Hill, Pa., Mrs. Charles (Diane) Elias of Scenery Hill, Pa.; one son John D. White, Jr. and his wife Diane of Fredericktown, Pa.; a brother Harry Hunt of Barnsville, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, Sandy Vaughan of Angier, N.C., Robert Gutherie, Jr., of Waynesville, N.C., David Andrew Gutherie of Spring Lake, N.C., Susan Gutherie of Spring Lake, N.C., Sherry Gorondy of Ridgeley, W.Va., John Sworchock, Jr. of Marianna, Pa., Robert White of Morgantown, W.Va., Edward White of Fredericktown, Pa., Tina Alexander of Orange Co., Calif., Jennifer Romanakis of Washington, Pa., Robert Cook of Brownsville, Pa., Michael Cook of Brownsville, Pa., Christopher Shaw of Scenery Hill, Pa., Amanda Shaw of Scenery Hill, Pa., Matthew Elias of Brownsville, Pa., Anthony Elias of Brownsville, Pa. and Priscilla Kulik of Smithton, Pa.; 19 great grandchildren; one step granddaughter Kimberly Putorti of Scenery Hill, Pa.

Deceased are three brothers and two sisters, Dias, Victor and Warren Hunt, Edna Turner and Mildred Wilson.

Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main St., Beallsville, Pa., where services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday with Pastor Clifford Reynolds officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hornes Cemetery, Marianna, Pa.

Contributions may be made to the Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, Donnell House, 155 Wilson Ave., Washington, Pa. 15301.
