Two arrested

State police arrested Daniel McGuinness, 37, and Kim McGuinness, 48, both of Johnson Lane, Connellsville, after they stabbed each another during a fight Friday.

Daniel McGuinness was charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly stabbed Kim McGuinness with a steak knife in the chest, and Kim McGuinness faces a simple assault charge for allegedly cutting the back of Daniel McGuinness’ left hand with a putty knife, according to police.

Kim McGuinness was treated at Highlands Hospital after the 2:30 p.m. stabbing, said police.

Both were arraigned before District Justice Michael Rubish and released on recognizance bonds.

No one injured

State police at Waynesburg said neither John W. Grow of Crucible nor Wayne C. Baysinger of Waynesburg was injured in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bill George Drive and Route 21 around 12:30 p.m., Saturday.

Man charged

State police charged Joseph Arnold Woodring, 34, of Rices Landing with two counts each of harassment and harassment by communication after he allegedly called the cellular phones of Tonya Woodring, 33, of Carmichaels and Lindley Walker, 35, of Holbrook and left them harassing messages.

Two cited

State police cited Carol Donaldson and Andrea Yoders, both of Carmichaels, for disorderly conduct and harassment for a fight at the Parkview Knoll public housing project Friday around 3:55 p.m.

Car damaged

Catherine L. Metro, 65, of Carmichaels told state police that the passenger-side window of her Ford Escort was broken while the vehicle was parked at Cedarwood Apartments along Nemacolin Road Thursday between 3 and 5:30 a.m.

Accident reported

State police said Alberta G. Kenes, 58, of Markleysburg and Susan F. Knox, 34, of Accident, Md., were involved in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Routes 40 and 281 Friday at 7 p.m. Amanda R. Knox was a passenger in Knox’s vehicle.

Man assault

Samuel J. Brangard, 35, of Smithfield told state police he fought with someone he knows Friday around 3:45 p.m. in a residence off Route 119. The investigation is ongoing.

Accident reported

Drivers Carl Louis Gar of Hiller and Sharon Lee Porter of Millsboro were involved in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday around 10:20 a.m. on Route 166, and both were wearing seatbelts, state police said.

Items stolen

An all-terrain vehicle and hunting equipment, owned by Robert D. Smith of Fairchance and Charles Robert Cooper III of Hopwood, were stolen from a shed at a Coolspring Street residence, said state police.

Charles Luick of Hopwood told state police that his Findlay Street home was broken into between 9:30 and 10:10 a.m., Thursday and two guns and a CD player were stolen.

No one hurt in crash

Neither Edward J. Rozak of New Salem nor Christopher Bittinger of Republic was injured in a two-vehicle accident along Mill Street in New Salem on Friday, state police said.

Crash reported

No one was injured in a five-car, chain-reaction crash Saturday along Route 40 eastbound, according to state police. Police identified the drivers as Garrett R. Wingard, 44, of Hiller; Pauline Martin, 67, of Brownsville; David Polvinale, 43, of Brownsville; Aubrey Rohaley, 38, of Brownsville and Renee Wolfe, 27, of Clarksville. Carl Martin, 71, of Brownsville was the passenger in the Martin vehicle. Christina Rohaley, 14, of Brownsville was a passenger in the Rohaley vehicle.

Denise Ashton, 42, of Hopwood told state police that someone she knows spit on her car window Saturday around 8:45 a.m. in the YMCA parking lot.

Gilbert Van Johnson of Champion told state police that someone threatened him with a gun and assault Friday around 8 p.m.

Bike stolen

State police said Della Irene Conaway of Uniontown reported a dirt bike stolen from her Elm Street residence between Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Home damaged

Harry Snowden of Uniontown told police that the siding, windows and doors of his 1342 Wharton Furnace Road home were spray-painted and a window was broken between Nov. 23 and Saturday afternoon.

Robin Rosnick told city police that someone entered her green Dodge Neon and stole the faceplate of her CD player, a T-shirt and an apron outside a Main Street bar between 1:10 p.m. and 1:24 p.m. Saturday.

Prescription fraud

City police said a woman wearing a tan coat attempted to fill a stolen prescription between 11:37 a.m. and 11:58 a.m. Friday at 250 Mount Vernon Ave. The unidentified person left the scene after the prescription was handed to Barbara Michael in order to be filled. The incident is related to a continuing state police investigation in Monessen, where the same prescription was reported stolen.

Decorations stolen

Terri Cornish of 144 Evans St. told city police that between 1 and 6 p.m. Friday, $100 worth of Christmas decorations were stolen from her front yard.

Woman harassed

Someone reportedly called the home of Jane Ann Cuzzupe several times asking for personal information, including information on her bank accounts. The calls stopped after Cuzzupe told the caller the she would contact the phone company to have future calls traced, city police said.

Window damaged

Someone threw a cinder block through the rear window of a 1995 Ford Taurus located in the yard of 87 Cleveland Ave., Cathy E. Karwatski of Lincoln Street told city police Friday. State police reported the vehicle was stolen but recovered by the owner the same day.

Charges are pending against a juvenile for a series of car thefts that took place in and around Uniontown on Thursday, city police said.

Beverly J. Spiker told city police that between 7:26 a.m. and 7:49 a.m. on Thursday, someone entered her garage through an unlocked door and rummaged through the interior of her vehicle, removing a 35-millimeter camera.

Juanita Brown told city police Thursday that people known to her forged her name at Joby’s Service Station on Fayette Street and took her 1992 Chevrolet Caprice without permission.

The passenger-side window of a 1994 green Dodge Sundance owned by Michele Shimko was broken with a concrete brick, Carla Renee Lohr told city police Thursday. The suspect was said to be wearing a yellow jacket with writing on the back, police said.

Vehicles ransacked

Someone stole change from Gloria Johnson’s sport-utility vehicle parked outside her East Highland Avenue home, used the automatic door opener to enter her garage and ransacked a vehicle parked inside between 2:54 a.m. and 3:29 a.m. Thursday, according to city police. Johnson’s neighbor informed her that her garage door was open, and he saw a heavy-set man running from the area, police said.

Charles Moore of 107 Grant St. told city police that between 2:32 p.m. and 3:03 p.m. Wednesday his Briggs and Stratton push lawnmower was stolen from under a tarp in his back yard.

City police said that between 2:44 p.m. and 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, someone fired a BB gun and damaged the windshield on Paul Karwatski’s 1994 Plymouth Caravan.

According to city police, a black plastic, double zipper purse containing identification cards, credit cards and cash owned by Helen H. Gabrin was reported missing at Uniontown Shopping Center on Wednesday.

Richard Errera of 457 Union St. told city police that someone stole his vacuum cleaner from his car, parked in his driveway. No damage was reported to the vehicle.

City police said Twila Conway of 16 Wilson Ave. reported that her home was entered and about 25 videotapes and $25 in coins were taken between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Someone broke into Steven Mitchell’s 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sedan, stole a CD player and broke the steering column between 12:51 p.m. and 3:59 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Ronald Chad Garner, 29, of 16A Enamel St. was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over for allegedly driving his vehicle on a sidewalk in Uniontown at 3:41 a.m. Wednesday, city police said.
