Donald F. Roman, 69, of Clayton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 30 at Reid Hospital. Don retired in 1997 from the City of Dayton as a supervisor of the waste water treatment plant. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, veteran of the United States Army and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Joseph John and Marie (Becker) Roman; mother-in-law Mary Beverley; brothers, Arthur and Joseph Roman; sister Dorothy Johnson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert Beverley, Herman Brosey, Bob Johnson, Tip Beverley and Lanelle Roman.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years; Mary (Beverley) Roman; daughters and sons-in-law Lynn and Keith Richhart of Union, Jan and Gary Carson of Norwalk, son and daughter-in-law Scott and Jan Roman of Englewood, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marilyn Roman of Centerville, Gladys Brosey of Medway, Barbara and Andy Thompson of Fairborn, Carol and Jack Stevens of Vandalia, Dorothy Beverley of New York, Bill and Jane Beverley of Dayton; grandchildren Ashley, Megan and Jacob Richhart, Paul Carson, Mason, Samantha and Serena Roman; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the KINDRED FUNERAL HOME, 400 Union Blvd., Englewood, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1000 W. Wenger Road with Father Todd Grogan officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Clayton Cemetery.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Vater Connection, 1722 Yucca Lane, Emporia, KS, 66801, envelopes will be provided.
