Dorothy M. Blosser McDaniel, 83, of Smithfield, Pa., went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 1, 2002. She was born April 20, 1919 in Smithfield, Pa., daughter of the late John Blosser and Nola Guthrie Blosser.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Howard A. McDaniel, Sr.; two brothers John Blosser and David Blosser and son-in-law Carl Ramsay. She was the last surviving member of her parent’s immediate family.

Dorothy was a member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Smithfield, John C. Myers Sunday School Class and Uniontown Chapter 263 Order of Eastern Star.

For many years, she was employed at Collier’s Clover Farm Store until her retirement.

Surviving are her three children, Beverly Matlick and husband Jim of Prince George, Va., Linda Marietta and husband Jon of Masontown, Pa. and Howard McDaniel and wife Kathy of Fairchance, Pa.; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, December 4, 2002 until 11 a.m. the hour of service with Rev. Donald Walls officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
