Joseph George Amrick
Please Note change in time of service: Joseph George Amrick, 88, died on Saturday, November 30, 2002, in Cheraw, South Carolina.
He was born in Leckrone, Pa., a son of the late John and Mary (Gromko) Amrick. His wife Margaret Angela (Kanik) Amrick also preceded him in death.
Joseph retired from coal mining after 35 years. He enjoyed woodworking and the art of violin making.
Surviving are a son Kenneth J. Amrick of Belle Vernon, Pa.; a daughter Irene Glad of Cheraw, S.C.; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES, INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 N. Main St., Masontown, Pa. today, Dec. 4, 2002, until 10:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said. Visitation hours were held Tuesday evening, Dec. 2, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, Pa. with the Rev. Father Donald Trexler as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
