Articles on Sunday and Tuesday indicated that an argument at the Brownsville Elks led to a fatal shooting early last Friday morning at South Hills Terrace. The argument allegedly took place at the Independent Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks of the World club on Brownsville Avenue in Brownsville, not the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1344 on Water Street in Brownsville. The two clubs are not affiliated.
