Vehicle recovered
State police said a vehicle owned by Michael Burnsworth of Mill Run, which had been reported stolen, was recovered along a dirt road in the state game lands 4 miles off Pittsburgh Street in South Connellsville at 11:20 a.m. Friday.

Clothes stolen
State police said someone stole a pair of jeans and a fleece jogging suit from the J.C. Penney store at the Uniontown Mall at 1:15 p.m. Sunday and fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Impala.

Woman injured
According to state police, Debra Zavada, 39, of Dunbar suffered minor injuries after the vehicle she was driving struck a deer along Route 119 at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

Man charged
State police said charges were filed before District Justice Rick Vernon against Robert Mehalic Jr. of Uniontown for allegedly striking Michael Vargo, also of Uniontown, in the head at the Uniontown Mall at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Hit-and-run probed
According to state police, someone driving a midsize van struck a vehicle operated by Christine Judy and fled the scene along Morgantown Street at 8 a.m. Nov. 20.

Charges filed
State police said charges were filed in district court against Ronald Fitzgerald, 19, and Khailes Lewis, 21, both of Uniontown, for allegedly stealing a vehicle owned by April Gaines, 30, of Uniontown from her residence Saturday at 10:45 p.m. The vehicle was recovered and the suspects were caught by Uniontown city police at 11:45 p.m. along East Main Street, police said. Bail was set at $8,500.

Woman cited
State police said Stasi Flord of Republic was cited for retail theft after she allegedly attempted to steal items from the J.C. Penney store in the Uniontown Mall at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Man hurt in crash
According to state police, Jason Miller, 26, of Connellsville suffered minor injuries after the vehicle he was operating crashed along Route 711 at 10:50 a.m. Sunday.

Purse stolen
State police said a man and a woman driving a white Honda Civic lured Mary Terri, 52, of Smithfield to their car by asking for directions and then stole her purse containing about $190 in the Fayette Plaza along Route 51 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27. Police said the suspects dragged Terri for a short distance before the strap of her purse broke, but Terri was not injured.

Cars collide
According to state police, vehicles operated by John Gruskowski of McClellandtown, Sharon Reed of Masontown and Lajos Racz of Leckrone crashed at the intersection of Route 166 and a legislative route Friday at 11:05 a.m.

Money stolen
State police said someone stole $40 worth of coins from a vehicle owned by Randy Norris, 62, of Grindstone outside his residence between 4 p.m. Nov. 28 and 9 a.m. Tuesday.

TV stolen
According to state police, someone stole an RCA color television, a Samsung videocassette recorder, a Sony PlayStation and 20 PlayStation games from Barbara Trout of Ruffsdale at her residence Tuesday between noon and 1 p.m.

Hit-and-run probed
Noel A. Aloe Jr., 28, of Scenery Hill is facing charges of hit-and-run and driving with an expired license for an incident that occurred at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, state police at Washington said.
Aloe allegedly struck an unattended-parked vehicle and when a witness approached him, he backed up and fled the scene, police said. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.

One-vehicle accident
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Route 40 at 7:50 p.m. Nov. 26, state police said.
A vehicle driven by Felicia Kay Murray of Uniontown slid off the road and struck a guardrail. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage, police said.

A mailbox owned by Cheryl Lee Williams of 417 McClellandtown Road was damaged at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Guardrail struck
No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on Route 51 at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, state police said.
A vehicle driven by Dana Shaner, 19, of Connellsville was traveling southbound when she lost control and struck a guardrail. The vehicle sustained severe damage, police said.

Vehicle ransacked
Doris Stone of Charles Street reported to city police at 9:01 p.m. Wednesday that someone entered her unlocked vehicle in her garage and ransacked the vehicle.
No damage was reported.

Theft
Janet Tissue of East Berkeley Street reported to city police at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday that someone entered her vehicle inside her garage and took the garage door opener.
The glove compartment was also disturbed, police said.

Rose Shaffer of Uniontown reported to city police at 6:58 p.m. Wednesday that someone known to her was harassing her inside the Oasis Bar.

Retail theft
A known individual allegedly attempted to take numerous Hostess pies from Midtown Foodland on West Fayette Street at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.
The man, who did not get away with the items, admitted taking the pies and was advised to stay out of the store, police said.

Various items were taken from a vehicle on East Street on Nov. 27, city police said.
Laurie Georgiana reported the theft at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday. Taken were a Meucci pool stick and leather case, 17 compact discs and cases, a Mag light, Klein electrical tool pouch, tool belt, wire strippers, four screwdrivers, side cutters, diagonal cutters, long-nose pliers, measuring tape, Grip Allen wrenches, adjustable wrench, ratcheting cable, cutter, pump pliers, voltage tester, fluke volt amp tester, Klein step bits and DeWalt cordless hammer drill.

Jacket taken
Sylvia Moore of Uniontown reported to city police at 2:40 p.m. that her Lee denim jacket containing $200 and a MAC card was taken from a chair in Duke’s Bar when she went to the restroom.
Later, a man later wearing the jacket, returned it to Moore, but without the money and MAC card. Police are investigating.

Hit-and-run reported
No injuries were reported in a hit-and-run accident at 8 p.m. on Monday, city police said.
Robert McCorkle, address unavailable, reported the incident at 8 p.m. Wednesday. McCorkle said he was at the intersection of Fayette and Morgantown streets when a dark colored Nissan traveling south on Morgantown Street ran a red light and hit the left side of his vehicle.
McCorkle’s vehicle sustained minor damage. The hit-and-run vehicle was described as having a broken left rear window and black plastic over it.

Pop machine vandalized
A pop machine at Byers Market on Connellsville Street was discovered pried open with possibly money missing at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, city police said.

Vehicle into pole
City police were called to a one-vehicle accident on Pittsburgh Street near Johnson Avenue at 2:03 a.m. Thursday.
The driver was taken to the hospital and the vehicle was towed. Additional information was unavailable.
