William V. Horton
William Vaughn Horton, 66, of Lavergne, Tenn., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, in Brownsville General Hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Uniontown, a son of Orielus Horton and Lois Vansickle Horton.
William was a member of the Greater Grace Church in Antioch, Tenn., the National Rifle Association, and was retired after 25 years as a press operator from Randall House Publishing Company.
His parents, a brother, Scott Horton, and a sister, Joyce Estelle Horton Gaskill preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Dolly Hanan Horton; sons and daughters, Pastor Douglas Horton and his wife, Betsy of Uniontown, Pa., Tina Horton Bruce and husband, James of Franklin, Tenn., Pastor Duke Horton and wife, Debbie of York, Pa., Michael Mullins of Florida, Debbie Miller and husband, Don of Harrington, Del., Wade Mullins of Florida, and Pamela Mullins of Florida; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jean Blake of Pittsburgh, Pa., Judy Coates of Weatherford, Okla., and Linda Jo McKim of Memphis, Tenn.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, today from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with his sons, Pastor Douglas Horton and Pastor Duke Horton officiating. Interment will follow in Sansom Chapel Cemetery, Farmington, Pa.
