Donegal Twp. Champion woman dies

A Champion woman died as a result of a one-car accident along County Line Road in Donegal Township, Westmoreland County, early Thursday morning. State police in Greensburg identified the woman as Brande Bowen, 43.

Police said Bowen was traveling west on County Line Road, and lost control on the snow-covered roadway. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and rolled over onto its left side, then hit a tree.

A 1977 graduate of Uniontown High School, she was an avid skier and a popular disc jockey at the Seven Springs resort. She was also a graduate of San Diego City College. She is survived by her mother Sis Dunlevy Frank of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her father, Robert Rehanek of Uniontown; her paternal grandmother Anna Margaret Rehanek of Uniontown; her sister Robin L. Mills and husband Terry of Mechanicsville, Va.; a stepsister, Wendy Gaither and husband Edwin of Uniontown; her brother Todd Rehanek and wife Rhonda of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; three stepbrothers Richard Frank and wife Suzanne of Uniontown, David Frank and wife Gretchen of Waitsfield, Vt., and Greg Frank of Pittsburgh; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends will be received in the Eugene G. Saloom Funeral Home Inc., 730 W. Main St., Mount Pleasant, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and until 11 a.m., on Monday, the hour of services, in the funeral home. Visitation was also held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.
