Rae L. Smith
Rae L. Smith, 82, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Czechoslovakia, on March 5, 1920, daughter of the late Mendel and Hannah Labovitz.
She was a member of Tree of Life Synagogue and the Sisterhood and the Uniontown Jewish Community Center.
Surviving are her husband, Lawrence (Larry) Smith of Uniontown, Pa; children, Howard Krauskopf and wife, Patti of Lost River, W.Va., and Linda Krauskopt of Morrison and husband, Bob of Napoleon, Ohio; stepchildren, Paula Granson and husband, Steven and David Smith and grandson, Aaron, all of Tucson, Ariz.; and two brothers, Rabbi Eugene Labovitz and his wife, Annette and Hyman Labovitz and his wife, Anita.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Krauskopf; and brothers and sisters, Harry Labovitz, Joe Labovitz, Mildred Diamond, Jeanette Singer and Helen Tepper.
Funeral services will be conducted in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, Pa., on Sunday at 1 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Holy Society Cemetery of Hopwood, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tree of Life Synagogue, PO Box 264, Uniontown PA 15401.
