Bobby Hathaway, son of Oscar and Barbara Hathaway of Carmichaels, has been selected by the Carmichaels Lions Club as October boy of the month. Hathaway is a senior at Carmichaels Area High School and maintains a 4.0 grade-point average. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Gifted Class, band and SADD. He is also a past recipient of the Hoby Leadership Award.
He is a member of the football and basketball teams, and was recently selected to the Tri-County South All-Conference Team for the third year.
He has volunteered his time at the Food Bank in St. Ann’s Soup Kitchen and Habitat for Humanity. He is a member of St. Hugh’s Roman Catholic Church, where he is an altar server.
Bobby plans to attend college and major in political science and business, as well as play football.
