Charles A. Cuppett
Charles Alfred (Bill) Cuppett, 81, of McClellandtown, Pa., died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1921, in McClellandtown, Pa., son of the late Charles William and Emma Flow Frey Cuppett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles M. Cuppett; and two brothers, Russell and Earl.
Surviving are his wife of 60 and 1/2 years, Irene Babyak Cuppett; two daughters, Charlotte Humberson of Kent, Ohio, and Joyce Ann Farrier of Carmichaels, Pa.; one son, William Cuppett of McClellandtown, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Bill worked as a coal miner for the Robena Mine, retiring after 42 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II as a Medical Assistant. He was a member of the Masontown Mennonite Church and a member of the U.M.W.A. Robena Local 6392.
Friends will be received in the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main St., Masontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, in the Masontown Mennonite Church from noon to 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Raleigh Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery
