Donald L. Crayne, 84, of Brownsville, Pa., died Tuesday, December 10, 2002 in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, Pa. Born October 7, 1918 in Waynesburg, Pa., he was a son of the late Harry and Nettie Jo Lippencott Crayne.

Besides parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Herbert Crayne, sister, Leona Henderson, and by his infant daughter.

Donald was a member of The Historic Church of St. Peter of the Brownsville Partner Parish. He retired after 47 years as the Manager of G. C. Murphy Company.

Donald will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Marie Patricia Trunzo Crayne; by son, Donald Crayne and his wife, Julie, of Yorba Linda, California; by daughter, Barbara Holmwood and her husband, Vern, of Victorville, California; by grandchildren: Colleen and her husband, Anthony Alfano, of LaPalma, California, Meagan Holmwood and Mitchell Holmwood both at home; by great-grandchildren: Mathew Alfano and Joseph Alfano both at home; by brother, Paul Crayne and his wife, Wanita, and by sister, Lillian Lippencott and her husband, George, all of Waynesburg, Pa.; and by many nieces and nephews.

The Family will receive Friends in the CONFER FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., tonight from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, December 13, from 10 until 11 a.m. Funeral Services will then be conducted by his priest, Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti, as Celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, (Route 40) Brownsville, Pa.

St. Peter’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers will hold a Rosary Prayer Service on Thursday at 3 p.m.
