Uniontown Man stabbed
Lawrence Davis, 37, of 355 Cleveland Ave., Uniontown, told city police that he was stabbed in the arm Tuesday morning while he was walking along Markle Street. Officers were dispatched to Uniontown Hospital at 12:48 a.m., where Davis was being treated for a laceration to his left forearm.
He reported that he was walking home from Farraugut Street when two men approached him from behind and one of them stabbed him.
He said didn’t see either man and could not identify his attackers.
The incident is under investigation.

Fire reported
City police and the fire department responded to a fire that was started by a cigarette on the second floor of the Meadow Heights Apartment building at 7:20 p.m. Monday.
Police said manager Sheila Taylor reported that a building resident started the fire by throwing a cigarette into a trash can. No injuries or damages were reported.
The fire department ventilated the floor.

Accidental shooting
Elijah Luke Fry, no age given, accidentally shot himself in the thigh with a rifle at approximately 6 a.m. Dec. 4 when he was cleaning the gun in his 109 Beech St. home, state police in Uniontown said.

Burglary reported
An unlocked garage at 40 Barton Mill Road was entered Dec. 5 or 6 and numerous items were stolen from a car inside owned by Inez Friend, 77, state police said.

Man arrested
Henry L. Singleton, 43, of North Union Township, was arrested on burglary and terroristic threats charges for allegedly entering a home at 136 Varndell St. and threatening Emma E. Reaggle, 40, and Jane Bailey, 47, with a metal pipe at 9 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

One-vehicle accident
State police said a 17-year-old male from Lemont Furnace was not injured Sunday at 5:10 a.m. when he traveled into a ditch off Starlite Road, hit a tree and rolled his vehicle onto its roof.
He was not wearing a seat belt.

Vehicles collide
State police said Jimmy Lee Guthrie, 33, of Guthrie Road, Smithfield, and Carl Robin Swenglish, 45, of Swenglish Lane, Smithfield, were involved in an accident on Route 119 at Smithfield-Masontown Road at 6:52 a.m. Monday.
Nobody was injured, but both vehicles were towed from the scene. Both men were wearing seat belts, according to police.

Fight investigated
State police said they are investigating a fight outside of Bullfeather’s Bar in Haydentown at 10:25 p.m. Sunday. Both males reportedly involved fled before police arrived.

Minor injury
Wanda Harden, 29, of New Salem suffered a minor injury, but her car was severely damaged Sunday at 2:49 a.m. when she swerved to avoid a deer on Coolspring-Jumonville Road and hit a speed-limit sign and a tree along the roadside, state police said. She was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Man arrested
Horace Lamb, 41, of Lumberton, N.C., was arrested on charges of public drunkenness, resisting arrest and misdemeanor disorderly conduct at 3:24 a.m. Nov. 30 when he was found asleep in his vehicle at the Exxon station on Route 51, state police said.
District Justice Michael Rubish committed Lamb to the Fayette County Prison on a $10,000 bond.

Charges filed
Harassment and public drunkenness citations were filed against Kevin Abrams, 22, of Dunbar after he allegedly pulled the hair of Robin Dean, 21, of Dunbar along Route 119 at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

State police said somebody hit a car owned by George Hlatky, 34, of Uniontown with about a dozen eggs between 3 and 7:50 p.m. Sunday at 529 Independence Ave.

Egging reported
Somebody egged a car owned by Colleen Rae Liston of Hiller at the Uniontown Mall at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, state police said.
Fairchance
Woman cited
Evelyn Jacobs, 45, of Uniontown was cited for criminal mischief for allegedly smashing numerous items against a cocktail table and damaging the table at 10:37 p.m. Sunday at 32 Deforest Ave., state police said. Rachel Hare, 19, of Fairchance was the victim.

Hit-and-run reported
State police said an unknown driver backed into a car owned by Beth Ann Stefanik of Fairchance in the Wal-Mart lot at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 4 and then fled.

Lawn mower stolen
Curtis McDowell of 319 Prospect St. told city police that he left his shed open for about 10 minutes Monday and his red Sears 6.5-horsepower mower was stolen. He reported the theft at 8:45 p.m.
